Diplomacy fails to woo Churchill and Hitler from their guns and bombs.
Wondering who would have published a headline like that on the eve of the Second World War? Britain's Guardian newspaper, of course ...that is, if they had been around. Check out today's real headline:
Diplomacy fails to woo Sharon and Hamas from their guns and bombs.
Surely the paper's editors know that it would be impossible to publish a newspaper like the Guardian in any Arab state today. And if Germany had defeated England, the rag of rags would never have been born. By snidely suggesting that an Islamist terror organization and the prime minister of Israel are morally equivalent combatants, the only thing that the Guardian delivers is further proof that the British left is morally bankrupt.
