Democracy for the Middle East

Tehran Teresa

According to the John Kerry web site, the candidate's wife - Patricia Heinz-Kerry - is distributing a button that reads "Asses Of Evil" surrounded by the names "Bush", "Cheney", "Rumsfeld", and "Ashcroft."

And we're supposed to believe that the Democrats aren't wallowing in the 60's? According to a new Gallup survey, Americans are wiser than the Heinz fortune heiress. Overwhelmingly, they view international terrorism and the possible spread of weapons of mass destruction as the two most critical threats facing this country.

Commenting on Blair's defense of the war, Andrew Sullivan pegs it:

When I read this man's speech with its clarity and foresight on the terrifying nexus of WMDs, terror-states and terrorists, I am both relieved and depressed. Relieved because a leader of the moderate left understands that this should not be a right-left issue. It is a life-death issue. Depressed because John Kerry seems utterly immune to Blair's perspicacity.
