Democracy for the Middle East

Twin Towers

Echoing the efforts of the Associated Press in Iraq, Duke University has championed the right of terrorists to a legitimate platform for disseminating their views.

With matters so out of hand in both the media and academia, it seems to us that there's another set of high-level tools waiting to be created (Ben and Mina Trott are you listening?) analogous to those that enabled the blogosphere to come into being and break the monopoly of the mainstream media.

In this case, the object would be to create an alternative higher education system, one capable of delivering a better quality and lower cost product to those dissatisfied with today's anachronistic and over-priced offering. We don't want to get ahead of our imagineers, but perhaps it's something that can be built atop the expert-rich blogosphere..excuse us ..Googlesphere!
